How I Attracted Money Into My Life

Wealth — like happiness, confidence and love — starts from within.

This concept can be difficult to grasp. Most of us are convinced that wealth has everything to do with how much money you have in the bank. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that wealth has more than a lot to do with money. In our world, it’s nearly impossible to feel wealthy if you don’t have the finances to live the life you want.

However, so much of what goes into being wealthy happens way before making money. The greater reality about wealth is this: First and foremost, wealth is a state-of-mind. And when you learn how to have a wealthy state-of-mind, you’re in a prime position to attract more money to you.

In this article, I’ll teach you four wealth-building practices that will shift your energy from that traditional way of thinking “money is the root of all evil” and intimidated by money to feeling empowered with your finances. Your internal-experience with money will completely influence your outer-experience with moneyLearn the essentials of a wealth-mindset, and more opportunities for financial abundance will come to you.

Anyone who feels disempowered with money has a tendency to ignore their finances. We do this because we’re scared and intimated by money.

We avoid our bank accounts. We avoid our bills, our debt. We avoid it all together, and hope it will solve itself sometime “in the future” when you make more money or when you win the lottery. Wish we can all win the lottery at this point, right? Well, evidently life doesn’t seem to work that way.

But I’m going to let you in on a little secret: it’s not going to solve itself.

If you want to create more wealth in your life, you have to get to know your money. In fact, you have to be in the commanding position with it, which means knowing the exact state of your finances (even if it scares you).

Take small steps to get to know your money. Look at your bank account everyday and instead of spiraling into panic, stretch yourself to feel grateful that you even have a bank account. Appreciate your money and try to see it through the eyes of “I have,” rather than, “I don’t have.”

Example: A personal friend of mine recently started writing down notes of his own finances and how he can fix his debt. Something we all try to swerve, yet still get caught into the trap. He wrote how much he’ll need to save to fix his debt, the amount he can spend on personal things: like food, clothing, current bills and social events of course. It’s helped him with knowing the reality of how much he owes, can spend and how much he can save up to setting himself up to be financially free. So as you get acquainted with your money, it will become less scary to you, putting you in a commanding position with it. This will draw more wealth to you. Take action, and control of your own finances.

2. INVEST IN YOUR$ELF (aka, save ya’ damn money!)

The act of saving money completely outweighs the act of spending unconsciously and frivolously.

People don’t like saving money usually because it makes them feel “restricted,” and therefore disempowered with money. Not for most, but I know I personally go through these negative thoughts every now and then once I get invited out for dinners, movie nights, and other fun events that my friends try to string me along to. If you feel this way, I want to challenge you to experience saving in a whole new way: as spending money on yourself. Say this to yourself a million times if you have to and get it deep into your skull:  I AM MY OWN INVESTMENT.

Saving money allows your bank account to grow and grow. This will eventually give you a cushion of money, which helps you feel safe and proud of what you have. Anytime you choose not to spend money, you truly are spending money on yourself and your wealthy state-of-mind.

By consciously deciding to save your money, your financial-confidence will grow, attracting more abundance to you.

The way your family dealt with money in the past has a huge influence on how you deal with money today. By understanding the financial fears and patterns that were passed on to you, you can move beyond them, creating a new wealth-mindset that’s more suitable for you now.

In order to uncover your pre-programed fears about money, ask yourself: What did my parents fear about money? How did my parents act with money? How do I act with money in a similar way?

This knowledge will create a platform for you to change your experience with money, rather than unconsciously doing what you were taught to do. I, myself, learned new skills to work with my own money and the importance of saving to invest, spending money to make money, doubling my earnings, and attracting wealth by simply thinking positively about money itself. Switching the mindset of ‘Money is The Root of All Evil’ to ‘Money is The Root of All Opportunity’.

Have you ever seen a sunset that’s so beautiful it overwhelms you? Have you ever eaten a meal that’s just too damn good, you can’t believe that you get to experience it?

These are examples of pure, potent and free experiences of abundance, and they’re happening all the time.

The more you orient yourself to the “free” wealth that life offers you, the wealthier you’ll feel. And because life mirrors our internal state back to us, the wealthier you feel on the inside, the more wealth you’ll create in your life, too.

If you want to experience financial abundance for yourself, take the necessary steps to orient your inner-world to a wealthier state-of-being. Doing so will not only make you feel like a wealthier person with what you’ve got, but it will also automatically attract more opportunities for financial abundance straight to you.

Aimed at harnessing the Law of Attraction, money affirmations can instantaneously help to focus your heart and mind on your goal.

They are simple phrases that contain powerful messages of happiness and success. Try the following affirmations for wealth and abundance. Saying them into a mirror before you start your day can be especially effective.

  • “I love money. Money is good.”
  • “I am attracting more money each day.”
  • “I am ready to receive all the wealth I deserve.”
  • “There are no limits to how much money I can attract.”
  • “I value money and am attracting more and more of it into my life.”
  • “I will always have exactly the amount of money I need.”
  • “Earning money is easy for me.”
  • “I know I can succeed in attracting wealth, and in achieving all my goals.”
  • “I live a successful, abundant, joyful life.”

(Quick speech: Let’s give credit when it’s due. Give compliments for when you like something. Doesn’t matter how they thank you. What matters is your honesty. Give support, give advice. Give a “keep goin’, you got this! motivation to a friend in need.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT OUT INTO THE UNIVERSE. Let’s support people we don’t even know but respect their hustle. It is not always easy, even when they make it look effortless. Independent models, photographers, artists, writers, creators of all sorts are hustling daily, living uncomfortably so they can soon in the future live lavishly. Crying before they sleep. Stressing out. Parents not being supportive. You never know what anyone is going through. So let’s support our youth of creators all around us. Importantly, I’ll start by linking their own personal accounts of the photos I used within this article.)
