To releasing “Por Vida” in 2014 & collborating with artists such as Tyler the Creator, Daniel Caesar & Gorillaz, Kali Uchis has been making a huge statement in the music inudustry.
To being highly influenced by 60’s sounds & showcasing her killer fashion sense, the pop singer teamed up with soulful singer Jorja Smith for her newest visual “Tyrant”. Directed by Divison, the visual kicks off with many tv images showing the the terrors happening around the globe but as she sings “Look me in my iris/I can read your silence/When everything is a riot/You’re my peace and quiet” you can already tell the video takes a turn into a lovey dovey aesthetic where Kali shows her sensual side & much more.
Later on, she joins Jorja in a 80’s style-inspired scene where they are both surrounded by vibrant colors while looking glamorous as ever. Uchis’s album is still under wraps, but in the meantime watch “Tyrant” below”
